Join us for an evening of beautiful treble music, featuring folk songs from around the world.s Kenyon Hall, Monday Night, June 2nd 7pm. - West Seattle 7904 35th Ave SW, Seattle
Cambialaria (KAHM-bee-uh-LA-ree-uh) 'Change the Air' Our mission is to perform treble choral literature as professionally and beautifully as possible. Because we believe that music should inspire change and create a profound sense of connection between people, we use our performances to raise funds for the world's poor by redirecting fees and performance donations to organizations that not only feed the poor, but also provide microloans to small businesspeople in countries like Africa, Mexico, Afghanistan, Cambodia... The list goes on. The group is new but we’ve already managed to redirect donations from our audiences to:
Assisted 15 individuals in the process of running/starting their own businesses in countries including:
Purchased a llama for a needy community. Purchased a goat and 4 flocks of chicks for other communities.
The Wheelchair Foundation Purchased three wheelchairs
World Vision Donated to victims of the South Asia Cyclone
Sacks of Hope Provided four 'sacks of hope' to the people of Darfur.
Deborah Arise Children's Home in Kenya This support program helps the families of those who have died of AIDS
Food Lifeline of Western Washington This organization provides nine dollars of food for every dollar donated. We are proud to support this wonderful, local organization. If you are interested in donating to these worthy, quality organizations with great track records, visit our LINKS page.
