Cambialaria. (KAHM-bee-uh-LA-ree-uh) 'Change the Air' Our mission is to perform treble choral literature as professionally and beautifully as possible. Because we believe that music should inspire change and create a profound sense of connection between people, we use our performances to raise funds for the world's poor by redirecting fees and performance donations to organizations that not only feed the poor, but also provide microloans to small businesspeople in countries like Africa, Mexico, Afghanistan, Cambodia... The list goes on. The group is only a few years old, but we’ve already managed to redirect close to $9000.00 in donations from our audiences to: Assisted over 60 individuals and groups in the process of running/starting their own businesses in countries including:
Provides llamas, chickens, ducks and goats for needy communities. The Wheelchair Foundation The Wheelchair Foundation is a nonprofit organization leading an international effort to create awareness of the needs and abilities of people with physical disabilities, to promote the joy of giving, create global friendship, and to deliver a wheelchair to every child, teen and adult in the world who needs one, but cannot afford one. For these people, the Wheelchair Foundation delivers Hope, Mobility and Independence. Food Lifeline of Western Washington This organization provides nine dollars of food for every dollar donated. We are proud to support this wonderful, local organization. More than 600 Ballard, Magnolia and Queen Anne households receive food, a hot lunch, clothes, or emergency financial help each week from the Ballard Food Bank.
